Talk Abstract
Xiph.Org is heavily involved in the current generation of Free media, notably Ogg, Vorbis and now WebM and the new Opus codec. In this talk we'll look at the upcoming generation of Xiph codecs such as Opus, as well as where things currently stand with current generation codecs such as Vorbis and WebM. We'll also discuss the equally important non-technical road map including continued work within the IETF and strategy concerning the brewing Patent Apocalypse. |
